Managing your subscription
Use your Team billing settings to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your Sotion subscription. Sotion subscriptions are tied to a Team account, not a personal account, so each Team manages its own subscription separately.
Only Team Owners can access billing settings. If you cannot open billing, ask a Team Owner to make the change for that Team.
Open your subscription settings
Sign in to Sotion and switch to the Team you want to manage.
Open that Team’s billing settings.
Select the option to manage your subscription. This opens Sotion’s hosted Stripe Billing Portal.
From the billing portal, you can update your plan, review your current subscription, manage payment details, and cancel your subscription.
Upgrade your plan
You can upgrade your Team’s plan at any time from the billing portal.
Open the billing portal from your Team’s billing settings.
Choose the higher plan you want to move to.
Confirm the change.
Upgrades are applied immediately. Any charge is prorated, so you pay for the higher plan starting from the time of the change.
Before you upgrade, review the plan differences in Understanding your plan.
Downgrade your plan
You can also downgrade your Team’s plan from the billing portal.
Open the billing portal from your Team’s billing settings.
Select the lower plan you want to use.
Confirm the downgrade.
Downgrades are applied immediately and billed using prorated pricing.
When you downgrade, you lose access to features that are only available on the plan you are leaving.
If your Team has more sites than the new plan allows, the extra sites are disabled starting with the newest sites first.
To check your current plan limits before you downgrade, see Understanding your plan.
Cancel your subscription
You can cancel your Team’s subscription from the billing portal.
Open the billing portal from your Team’s billing settings.
Choose the option to cancel your subscription.
Confirm the cancellation.
Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. Your subscription stays active until that date.
When the cancellation takes effect at period end, all sites in that Team are disabled.
How billing works for Teams
Each Team has its own subscription. If you belong to multiple Teams, billing changes only apply to the Team you are currently managing.
This means upgrading, downgrading, or canceling one Team does not change the subscription for any other Team.
