Which is better, Notion Sites or Sotion?

Use Notion Sites for a simple public site. Publishing on a notion.site address is free. A custom domain needs a paid Notion plan plus $8 to $10 a month per domain, and Notion Sites can't password-protect pages or sign members in.

Use Sotion when visitors must sign in or pay, or when you run several branded sites. Sotion adds passwords, email sign-in, per-client access, Stripe paywalls, custom code and member analytics, and every plan includes a custom domain.

Plans start at $7 a month, and access control starts on Starter at $27 a month.

Which one fits you

Both keep your content in Notion. What differs is who can see it, and what it costs.

Choose Notion Sites if…

  • Your site is public, and anyone may read it.
  • A notion.site address is fine, or you already pay for a Notion plan and need one or two domains.
  • Google Analytics is all the tracking you need.

Choose Sotion if…

  • Visitors must sign in, or each client should see only their own pages.
  • You charge for access through Stripe.
  • You run several branded sites, or want a custom domain without a paid Notion plan.
  • You need custom code: a chat widget, your own analytics or your own CSS.
