General Settings Overview

The General section of your site dashboard contains the core management and analytics pages for your Sotion portal. These pages give you visibility into your site's performance and control over its configuration.

Site Dashboard

The Site Dashboard is the landing page for each of your sites. It provides a quick snapshot of your site's status and navigation cards to access key management areas.

From the dashboard you can:

  • View your site's publish status and last published timestamp

  • See your site details including name, status, and live URL

  • Navigate to Publishing, Members, Access, Pages & Content, Branding, and Settings sections

  • Publish changes to make configuration updates live

Visitor & Member Analytics

Visitor & Member Analytics provides built-in analytics for your published sites. See how visitors interact with your content, track member engagement, and understand what's working—all without third-party tools.

Analytics includes:

  • Visitor metrics (unique visitors, page views, time on page, bounce rate)

  • Traffic patterns over time with charts for 24 hours to 90 days

  • Content performance showing top pages and referrers

  • Audience breakdown by browser, device, OS, and country

  • Member activity including logins, signups, and access by group

Analytics is available on Pro and Scale plans. Data is privacy-friendly and retained for 90 days.

Site & Portal Settings

Site & Portal Settings controls core configuration options for your portal. Settings are organized into focused cards for each area of your site's behavior.

Configure:

  • Notion Settings — Enable search and template duplication for visitors

  • Display Settings — Browser tab title format and social preview images

  • Membership Settings — Reply-to email and session duration for logged-in members

  • Security Settings — Page boundary enforcement, auto-discovery, and sitemap exclusions

  • Data Export — Backup and migration options (coming soon)

  • Danger Zone — Site deletion

Additional configuration areas like branding, code injection, domains, access control, and integrations have their own dedicated pages in the dashboard navigation.
