Visitor & Member Analytics
Sotion includes built-in analytics for your published sites. See how visitors interact with your content, track member engagement, and understand what's working - all without third-party tools or tracking scripts you don't control.
Analytics is available on Pro and Scale plans.
What You Get
Visitor Metrics
When you open the Analytics page for any site, you'll see:
Visitors - Unique people who visited your site in the selected time period
Page Views - Total pages loaded across all visitors
Average Time on Page - How long visitors spend reading your content
Bounce Rate - The percentage of visitors who leave after viewing only one page
Each metric shows the percentage change compared to the previous period, so you can spot trends at a glance.
Page Views Over Time
A chart showing your traffic pattern over the selected period. Choose between 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days to zoom in on recent activity or see the bigger picture.
Content Performance
See which pages get the most attention:
Top Pages - Your most-visited pages, ranked by view count
Referrers - Where your visitors are coming from (Google, social media, direct links, etc.)
Audience Breakdown
Understand who your visitors are:
Browsers - Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and others
Devices - Desktop, mobile, or tablet
Operating Systems - Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, etc.
Countries - Where in the world your visitors are located
Member Activity
If your site uses access control, you'll also see member-specific metrics:
Total Members - Active members registered on your site
New Members - Members who signed up during the selected period
Member Logins - How often members are logging in
Password Logins - Logins using password protection (vs. magic links)
Logins by Page - Which protected pages members are accessing most
Logins by Access Group - Activity broken down by your access groups
Account Overview
On your main Sites page, you'll find an aggregate analytics overview across all your sites. This gives you a bird's-eye view of:
Total visitors and page views across all sites
Member login activity
A comparison table showing how each site is performing side by side
Click any site name in the table to jump to its detailed analytics.
How It Works
Analytics data is captured automatically when visitors browse your published site. No setup is required - once you're on a Pro or Scale plan and your site is published, analytics starts collecting.
Privacy-friendly - Visitor identification uses a simple anonymous cookie. No personal data is collected or stored. No third-party services are involved.
No impact on performance - Event capture happens in the background with zero latency added to page loads.
Data retention - Analytics data is available for the most recent 90 days.
Getting Started
Open any site in your Sotion dashboard
Click Analytics in the sidebar (under the General section)
Choose your time period and explore your data
If you're on a Free or Starter plan, you'll see a prompt to upgrade. Analytics is included with Pro and Scale plans at no additional cost.
